We have been involved with thousands of events over the years and never fail to see the benefit and detrimental effects of the live auctioneer.
Do not hire auctioneers who think the event is about them! At Money for the Cause, we believe that your event is about advancing your organization and raising the most money for your cause. The best auctioneers become your organization and preach your message.
Mark got his start in the auction world by hiring an auctioneer to sell his business. Mark immediately recognized the power in the auction method. He became immersed in the auction world. He opened five offices in Texas during the boom to bust days of the oil crisis. Mark was one of the pioneers that has helped shape this generation of successful auctioneers and auction companies. Through his work he has become a very serious advocate of the fundraising auction process. Mark continues to counsel and consult with many groups concerned with keeping their event relevant and fresh. He has become an advocate of mobile bidding. He believes given the motivation and information, your affinity group will not only grow in number, but in quality and dollars as well. Mark believes social capital is an important component of any group that wants to continue to grow and remain relevant as a new generation of donors mature. Mark insists on professionalism in his personal work and with any auctioneer he employs. His son, Logan, is a Texas State Champion Auctioneer as well as being involved on the forefront of fundraising by achieving the National Auctioneers Association designation of BAS (Benefit Auction Specialist). Mark and his wife live in Houston, Texas.
