Mark got his start in the auction world by hiring an auctioneer to sell his business. Mark immediately recognized the power in the auction method. He became immersed in the auction world. He opened five offices in Texas during the boom to bust days of the oil crisis. Mark was one of the pioneers that has helped shape this generation of successful auctioneers and auction companies. Through his work he has become a very serious advocate of the fundraising auction process. Mark continues to counsel and consult with many groups concerned with keeping their event relevant and fresh. He has become an advocate of mobile bidding. He believes given the motivation and information, your affinity group will not only grow in number, but in quality and dollars as well. Mark believes social capital is an important component of any group that wants to continue to grow and remain relevant as a new generation of donors mature. Mark insists on professionalism in his personal work and with any auctioneer he employs. His son, Logan, is a Texas State Champion Auctioneer as well as being involved on the forefront of fundraising by achieving the National Auctioneers Association designation of BAS (Benefit Auction Specialist). Mark and his wife live in Houston, Texas.

Logan Thomas recently planted himself in Texas Auctioneer history by being named the Texas State Champion Auctioneer. Logan is an active member of both the Texas Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association. Logan has dedicated his time, effort and resources to improving the auctions of non-profits both local and abroad. Having been involved in auctions coast to coast and in Europe, Logan is specifically equipped to handle any situation that may arise in a benefit auction. Logan grew up in the Houston area and attended the University of Alabama where he played football and was a member of the 2009 National Championship team. Being an outdoorsman, a pilot and a sports fan Logan gets excited about many different opportunities and adventures. But, Logan’s true passion lies in helping non-profits reach their goals both financially and in expanding their affinity group. Logan recently graduated from the Certified Auctioneers Institute, a 3 year program through the National Auctioneers Association known as the PhD of the auction industry. Logan has achieved the ‘Benefit Auctioneer Specialist’ designation that truly separates him from the traditional auctioneer. Logan was also elected to the Texas Auctioneers Association Board of Directors. Past awards for Logan include the Texas State Champion Rookie Auctioneer and Texas State Champion Ringman. Logan is a dedicated professional to the organizations he serves and to the auction world. Logan and his wife, Chelsea, currently live in Fort Worth.
